Repeated calls from Inmarsat and Iridium

Hello, I would like to know more about these calls that I receive now almost every day. The numbers are identified as being from the United States, and I use the Orange Telephone app to identify them, seeing "Iridium communications" or "Inmarsat". It rings and then hangs up before I have a chance to answer the call. Different numbers but always identified by the same name on the Orange Telephone. Given that even though I have a Business plan with Orange, the call costs €2.20 per minute. I would like to know who is calling me and if there is a free way to call them back.
Thank you.

Hello, As their name indicates, these are satellite calls, the primary purpose is mobility in the middle of nowhere with dedicated equipment (boats, planes, people in the field like military personnel and journalists...). There are reverse directories in both the United States and France, but I'm not sure you would find much more than mobile, special, private numbers... I assume that in the United States as well, if someone really wants to reach you, they can leave a message on your voicemail. I'm not very familiar with the technology; it's possible that it only works by "direct line" between two satellite devices and that otherwise it goes through the intervention of a ground relay (call notification, which was the historical mode of operation for car phones) and that might explain why your daughter is silent.
