Hello,

The lens of my Canon PowerShot camera is no longer retracting. It says "lens error, automatic closure, restart camera app." The lens moves a little when we press the on/off button, but nothing more. My son pressed the small red button right next to it, and I don’t know what that corresponds to. Thank you in advance.

    If it's like the A590, the small button at the bottom is the release button for the lens ring... this allows you to remove it and add a ring to make it a wide-angle for example.

    Make sure it's properly locked in place... It comes off by turning it counterclockwise and goes back on in the other direction.
    Of course, this should be done with the device powered off!!
