Ringtones folder in Samsung S9

Hello,
On a a Samsung S9, where is the directory that contains the ringtones?
I know how to customize the ringtones, but my custom ringtones are regularly replaced by the default ringtone. So when that happens, I have to reassign them.
I was thinking that if I could find out the folder where they are located, I wouldn't have this problem anymore.

/storage/emulated/0/Ringtones

It would be really surprising if there wasn’t Storage in an Android device!
The problem is that you’re probably not using a file manager that shows the complete storage.
I recommend FX.

On the home page, click on the System icon.
You will then find the folder I mentioned.

No, I don't have a /storage folder on my S9. I have a bunch of directories, but no /storage, at least not in the main root... whether on the phone or the SD card.
I use the standard file manager that comes with the phone, which is "My Files," but maybe not all directories are shown with the standard app. Is there a setting to enable to display all directories? Thanks.

Okay, I downloaded FX, and I indeed have the folder /storage/emulated/0/Ringtones.
I understand now. In fact, what you call /storage is actually the main root of the phone, meaning "Internal Storage," and the directory containing the ringtones is called Ringtones, directly under "Internal Storage."
The problem is that if I put an mp3 file, for example, in the Ringtones folder, it is not recognized. How do I get the phone to recognize the music I put in the ringtones folder?

"Internal storage" is a term used by Samsung's My Files manager.
To use the music saved in Ringtones, I proceed as follows:
In the Phone app, click on the 3 dots at the top right to access Settings. Then:
Call alerts and ringtone > Ringtone
Scroll all the way to the top of the list to find the "Custom" section.
Select the desired music and go back to the previous menus, then exit settings.

thank you for the reply, but I don't have, in the settings, Call Alerts and ringtone > Ringtone.
I only have the "sounds and vibrations" section, and that doesn't match what I want to do.
Well, it's not a big deal, I won't stress about it any longer, I'll just keep doing what I do when a contact's ringtone disappears "mysteriously".
