"Launch CSM" disabled preventing me from starting the computer.

Hello,

Here is my problem.

I need to enable Secure Boot on Windows to play games like Valorant or FIFA 23. Unfortunately, when I enable it, my computer fails to boot. Enabling it disables the "Launch CSM" option in my BIOS. Seeing this, I reset my BIOS to factory settings to test whether it was the disabling of CSM or just the enabling of Secure Boot that was preventing my computer from starting up.

I now know that the issue is due to CSM being disabled. I would like to know:

- Why does this happen?
- Can I resolve the issue?

Knowing that I didn't have this problem before I changed my graphics card.

Here are the specifications of the computer:

- CPU: Intel Core i7-8700
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT
- Motherboard: ASUS GL12CM

I also specify that all my hard drives have a GPT partition. (I have seen that MBR can cause issues).

Thank you to those who take the time to respond, hoping someone knows the solution to this problem.

Hello,

The topic is discussed here:
https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-37872891-demarrage-securise-windows-11#dernier

In this case, the author seems to have moved system folders to another disk, which is not GPT.

On a GPT disk, Windows 11 cannot be installed in Legacy mode, but BIOS security may have been bypassed through a custom installation (because, but not only, the installation was done by migration on a non-Windows 11 compatible PC).

That said, to run the game on Windows 11, it is not only necessary for the BIOS to be secure but also for the TPM 2.0 module to be activated, which will be problematic if the PC does not comply with this specification, see here in Franglais:
