Error 5B00 on Canon G2501

I encountered this error on a Canon Pixma G2501 printer and I can't seem to resolve it.

    Good evening,

    5B00 - The orange and green indicators blink 7 times

    Description

    A service error has occurred.

    Resolution

    1. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord from the outlet.
    2. Plug the machine back in, then turn it on.
      NOTE: if you unplug the power plug, all faxes stored in the machine's memory will be deleted.

    If the error message still appears, the printer must be sent to a Canon professional service center or an authorized service partner. Please refer to our service and repair page for more information.
