Hello.

I have a red Turtle Beach Recon 50 headset that I bought in a store a year and a half ago. No problem hearing sounds from the PC.

However, I can't get the built-in microphone to work. It is simply not detected.

I plugged the pink jack into the mic, the green jack into the headset
In Microphone Properties, the level is set to 100
The headset does not appear in the device manager

I plugged the mic alone into the mic input (where the pink jack is in my photo) and it works even though the volume is a bit low.

I think there's a problem when I insert the mic into the headset. The mic fits in well. I can even turn it a bit at the end to secure it. I don't want to force it for fear of breaking it.

    Problem solved by myself.

    Don't laugh at me, but I completely forgot there was a button on the cable to disable/enable the mic!

    The mic is now working properly (even though I had to set the amplification to +24, so there's background noise!).
