Compatibility of MSI motherboards with ASUS graphics cards

Hello,

I wanted to know if an Asus ROG Strix RTX 2070 OC graphics card would be 100% compatible with an MSI Z270 Pro Carbon motherboard and an i7700k processor. I have a 650W power supply.

On MSI's site, it doesn't indicate that this card is compatible, just like the RTX 2070 Super, which I'm hesitating to buy as a result. Thank you for your responses.

Last question, will the Asus GPU Tweak 3 software also work for adjustments? Thank you.

    Hello.

The motherboard is compatible; now we need to know if the case is large enough to accommodate this graphics card, which is 300.5 mm long, 130.6 mm wide, and 48.9 mm thick. In addition to the length compared to the case, we also need to check if the thickness of this graphics card does not block certain ports used on the motherboard, so first take the measurements.

To complete, there are no compatibility issues between current motherboards and graphics cards, all being equipped with PCI-Express 16X ports. What needs to be checked are the dimensions of the chosen graphics card model to see if it can fit inside the PC case. Another thing to verify is the power supply to see if it has enough power to support the selected graphics card model.

    Hi

    *Cpu i7 7700k

Old socket 1151 cannot be replaced by a newer one without changing the motherboard.

    Supports pcie 3.0

    Limits 4k resolutions (24hz hdmi - or 60hz) read+

End of Servicing Updates Date Sunday, March 31, 2024 read+ (windows will remove it soon -9 months?)

    https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/97129/intel-core-i77700k-processor-8m-cache-up-to-4-50-ghz.html

    *Power Supply 650w

Take a picture of the label with the numbers and post it, we find tricky ones with 2 rails it's not easy to assess the power drawn on each rail -and some really good ones.

    >>Either you buy the GPU for 9 months -or it will have to be transferred to the next unknown config.

"Old socket 1151 cannot be replaced by a newer one without changing the motherboard."

What do you mean? Replaced by a more recent CPU than the i7 7700K without changing the motherboard! I don't see which one.

    "Limits 4k resolutions (24hz hdmi - or 60hz) read+"

    What is that again?
