I just bought an Asus Vivobook, my printer is properly connected to my computer, but I can't find the icon I used to scan.

Thank you because I'm home alone!!

    Hello
does your printer have a name? (brand, model)

because I'm home alone this kind of info should not be shared on a forum, first for your security, and second because it does not add any information to the topic

      Hello,

What seems more relevant to me than the printer model is the operating system, probably Windows 11 on a new PC, maybe still Windows 10.

In the best-case scenario, the PC will recognize the printer driver but cannot install its scanning software on its own.

If it is still the Epson SX218 found in history, it is an old model whose drivers and software have not been updated for a long time and were provided on a CD that came with it, or, if we lost it, on the manufacturer's website; they still work on Windows 10, on Windows 11, if we don't try, we won't know.

By extension, the problem is the same if it is a new printer, we don't need to be involved: you go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest version of the scanning software hoping it will work on Windows 10 or 11 otherwise the troubles will begin.
