Hello everyone

I have a Philips 55OLED706/12 TV,

a Canal + 4K UHD decoder - DDG9

A Bose 700 soundbar with subwoofer and 2 satellite speakers.

Here’s my problem

Everything was working fine until Canal asked me to change my decoder because it was outdated. I replaced it with the new one and tried to reconnect my soundbar... it didn't work. I'm going to try to shorten... What Canal + didn't tell me is that the decoder change was for the Cube and not for the one connected to the TV downstairs. Anyway, I reconnected everything properly and updated the TV.

Nothing works anymore, the sound cuts out, at times there is a delay between the sound and the picture

HDMI 1 = Canal +

HDMI 2 = Bose.

Bose switches to HDMI 4, even though there’s nothing connected to it!.

The guy from Bose came to my house twice, he doesn't understand what's going on.

Has anyone had this problem?

Thanks for your responses.

Kritell

Hello,

The use of HDMI ARC ports can sometimes be temperamental...

I recommend connecting your Bose 700 Soundbar directly via optical cable either to the output of the Canal + decoder (if it is the only one providing the image) or to the digital audio (SPDIF) output of the television.

Note: you may need to make a change in the "Sound" or "Audio" menu of the decoder or television to activate the optical digital audio output.

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there...

Good evening,

I connected the optical cable from the soundbar to the SPDIF socket of the decoder. I have sound from the soundbar + subwoofer + satellites, but when I go to Netflix, I just get the TV sound! Surely there’s a setting to adjust somewhere...

My Bose remote only works for sound for now. Before, we used just that one for everything.

I will go back into the Bose app...

Thank you and good night ????

Where does Netflix come from? Smart TV connected via Wi-Fi to the box?

And what if you connect the optical cable to the optical output of the TV?

Yes, smart TV connected to WiFi.

I will try it on the TV then.

The sound is "double" now...

In the TV sound menu, there is a setting that allows you to mute the TV's speakers.

Excerpt from the manual, page 57:

Good evening

I'm sorry, I haven't taken the time to deal with the matter...

I'm updating the TV and then doing a factory reset in order to reconnect everything and see how it goes.

Have a good evening
