Payment terminal issue

Hello,
I have a problem with my payment terminal. It is properly connected to Wi-Fi, but the communication isn't going through.
After contacting the technical service for the terminal, I was informed that port 7959 is blocked on the Orange box, preventing communication.
I contacted Orange's technical support, and they are unable to help me; they advised me to consult an IT technician....
Can you help me?
Thank you in advance

Hello,
All of this is quite curious; in the not-so-distant past when I was doing this, there were issues with POS terminals just like I suppose in all installations (especially but not only during the switch to fiber). It was the responsibility of the technical support of the seller/lessor of the POS terminal to handle it, and that’s what they did. It is inconceivable that the installation was done without checking the Wi-Fi connection to the Box and then to the outside, if only because it cannot be activated without the online validation of its configuration and the lists of oppositions.
The configuration of the POS terminal depends on its model; it is often obscure, involving combinations of function keys. I at least assume he assigned it an IP address; if only the Box is at fault, then it is enough to establish in the administration of the Box, typically at 192.168.1.1, a NAT rule allowing the relevant port to the concerned IP and/or a global authorization rule based on the MAC address of the POS terminal.
More generally, a number of Boxes come with a firewall that can be configured at multiple levels by default. I don't believe it is the role of the Box to filter communications; in the absence of a network firewall in small businesses, this should be done on each PC.-
Hello,
I'm wondering, does the POS need incoming connections?
I thought it only had an outgoing connection; I wonder how they could manage with all the CGNs popping up everywhere today, or even with IPv6, but I doubt that POS systems are IPv6 capable, and most routers also have a firewall that needs to be configured to allow incoming IPv6 connections.
Hello,
In my day (a few years ago), there were indeed incoming connections (software updates for regulatory or technical reasons, opt-out lists...) but the problem doesn’t seem to be that, as it appears that nothing is going out either.
A few years ago, these payment terminals (TPE) were available in “wireless” models or not; the former allowed for a connection via Wi-Fi from the TPE to its base for an authorization request, but the base in question was always connected via Ethernet, and the daily collection only occurred if we didn’t forget to place the device back on its base. I often complained about finding them regularly left on counter tops in the morning...
It remains to be seen what the Wi-Fi connection is intended for in our case, if the TPE’s network settings are correct, if its local IP communicates to and from the box, but I don’t recall in my specific case (it was also a Livebox, Pro) having set any rules other than that the firewall was reduced to its simplest form and that the MAC or IP addresses of the different TPEs were explicitly authorized.

Thank you for your response.
I created a nat rule with new, then internal port 7959, external port 7959, TCP, then IP address but nothing more....
