Hello,

I have a Lenovo M10 Plus (3rd Gen) 10.6" WiFi - 64GB, 4GB RAM tablet with a USB-C port.

How can I connect a DVD player (commercially protected DVDs, I suppose) to the tablet to watch my movies?

Thank you

    Hello,

Is your DVD player equipped with a USB-C connector?

    Hello

I haven't bought the DVD player yet and will look for one with a USB-C connector.

    Hello,

    There are 2 problems:

    1) Powering the DVD drive.
I doubt that the power provided by the tablet's USB port is sufficient. It works with an external hard drive (not SSD), but I have doubts about a DVD drive.
Therefore, an external power supply will be needed, for example with a charger and a Y USB cable. See the diagram on this site: https://www.vidmore.fr/play-dvd/lecteur-dvd-android/

    2) The second issue is that Android cannot read DVDs.
VLC will need to be installed on the tablet. That seems to be the simplest solution.

What is well conceived can be clearly stated,
And the words to say it come easily.
