Hello

When I turn off the computer, the fans of the graphics card, the processor, and the fan at the back of the case stay on.

It doesn't happen every time.

What do you think it could be due to?

Waiting for your reply, I send you my best regards.

Dan

Hello,

Check your BIOS settings to see if the post-shutdown fan feature is enabled and if it can be disabled.

This could be due to a feature of your motherboard that allows the fans to continue running for a while after the computer has shut down to allow heat to dissipate.

Does it eventually stop after a while?

Hello

Thank you for your reply.

Yesterday they stayed on for more than 30 minutes.

I updated the motherboard; could it be related to that, or maybe a problem with the ventilation or a setting in Windows?

Probably, you need to access your BIOS ventilation settings and set the speed and triggering ranges according to the temperature. It is possible that the current settings need to be redone.

Otherwise, there are also fan management software for your computer, depending on the brand or generic software.

Most computers operate optimally at temperatures between 30 and 50 degrees Celsius for the most sensitive components, such as the processor (CPU) and graphics card (GPU). Hard drives and other components can operate at higher temperatures.

Hello

In the BIOS, the "ErP" setting must be set to enabled and adjusted to S5; if that doesn't work, test the other settings.

Thank you for your response.

I will try this evening.

I have a silly question, can't I restore all the BIOS settings to default, for example by removing the battery?

You can, but if this setting has never been changed, it will remain on the same setting in theory.

I found that deep sleep is what I need to set in S5; I haven't found the ERP.

Hello

Thank you for your help. So I reset the BIOS and set the parameters as per the user manual.

Since then, I haven't had any problems; everything shuts down 10 seconds after Windows turns off.

P.S. Do you have a Discord?

No, I'm not a Discord user, I'm happy for you that it's working.
