SMS sent on phone in airplane mode

Hello,

I have a little problem lol, I accidentally sent a text message to someone who shouldn’t have received it, their phone was on airplane mode, but when they took it off, the SMS didn’t arrive. I’m worried because they shouldn’t see this message. Can the message still arrive even several days later? I even blocked my number all day yesterday on elastic person's phone, to make sure they wouldn’t receive it. Today I unblocked my number and still nothing. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Hi,

If the message has been sent, it no longer depends on you but on your or his operator (I'm not sure but apparently it's his operator), SMS messages are stored for a certain time by the operators in order to be delivered when the recipient's device becomes available; regarding the retention period, I imagine it depends on each operator, but we're talking about a few days.

Hello,

As an example, I received a text message after 14 days at Orange…

his phone was in airplane mode,

What does that have to do with sending a text message from your phone when the recipient's phone is in airplane mode? This won't prevent the SMS in question from being received.

Windows never asks Chuck Norris to send the error report. Bill Gates comes to get it himself, with all his apologies.
Chuck Norris can maintain your Renault better than Renault.

Hello,

the elastic phone of the person

It would be nice if you proofread before posting (using the Preview function).

I suppose we should understand: "the phone of the said person."

Pretty funny, but we're not in the "Humor" section.

That being said, it happens that a message is delayed. This is especially true for emails.
And you have no way to prevent the reception.

What is well conceived is clearly expressed,
And the words to say it come easily.

I summarize the previous opinions briefly :-)
There is nothing you can do, absolutely nothing. (other than taking responsibility)
