Connecting a second monitor to a 1080 Ti

Hello, I have a computer that is 5 years old and the graphics card is an Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti. I've had a single screen connected via HDMI for 5 years. But now I would like to add a second screen.
Will this not put too much strain on the graphics card that has been used to only one screen for 5 years? Or is it likely to require significantly more power? Thank you.

The only thing you might risk is slight GPU usage
For example, with my 1080Ti, I'm between 0 and 15% (closer to 0 when I'm doing nothing and closer to 15% when I start moving my windows while watching a YouTube video in the background)-

I had marked the topic as Resolved because that's the case, but I have another question that's been on my mind.
I noticed that when I turn on the main screen, it's fine, but as soon as I turn on the second screen... then the first one turns off and then back on, and the second one does the same.
Basically, they turn off and on 2 to 3 times until I hear the sound like a USB cable connecting/disconnecting and reconnecting, and finally, it's okay. I think it's normal, but isn't there a setting to avoid the 2 or 3 consecutive restart?
When I say I think it's normal, it's because the laptop does the same thing when it's connected to the TV, but there might be a small setting to adjust there as well.

I bought a DisplayPort to HDMI cable this morning and everything works fine
since I figured out the thing with "extend displays." Have a great weekend.
