Hello,
I bought a hard drive for my PS4.
USB 3.0
SDK PSSD
ExFAT
Capacity: 2.10 TB
When I click on format as extended storage, it says: unable to format this device error CE-41902-6
Yet the HDD meets all the required criteria
How can I perform this operation?
PS4 system software. Version 10.50
Thank you for your responses

Hello
According to various posts, if the hard drive (no reference) is indeed a USB3.x, then it’s possible that your issue comes from the USB cable, which is not really designed for this type of USB.
Some users report that simply changing the USB cable to a USB 3.x type (generally slightly thicker) has resolved the error in question. And it is true that one USB cable is not equal to another; there are various standards in USB cables. Some do not handle data, etc.
Best regards
