Temporary EPSON Scan File

Hello everyone,
I have an EPSON XP-405 printer, and for several days now, when I scan a document, when I get to the file saving step, I get a message saying "Unable to create a temporary file. Cancel the file saving." I don't understand. If someone could help me, thank you very much in advance.
I regularly perform cleanups with CCleaner. I don't have too many temporary files. Last week, I had bypassed the problem by restoring the printer's default settings, but now that doesn't work anymore!!!!

computer crashed blue screen !!!!For several years, this is not the first time I have offered drivers for printers and I have never had any issues.
The one suggested comes from the Epson printer website
--> https://www.epson.eu/fr_EU/support/sc/epson-expression-home-xp-405/s/s1090?suggestionClicked=true
So, it surprises me a lot that it would be only the printer driver that caused this.
The problem is due to something else, but what???----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
trip to the repair shop to reinstall WindowsIf you had come back here on CCM, we could have helped you to repair or reinstall Windows and it's free.
Too bad.

kaneagle thanks anyway,
My PC was completely crashed and I didn't think to come back to CCM with another computer!!!!
It's true that I did that a bit on a whim!!!! I wasn't feeling up to tinkering, it was too complicated for me.
I went for the easiest option for me, I might have made a mistake!!!
It's true that I did that a bit haphazardly. !!!! I may have made a mistake !!!Maybe that's what caused the crash ??

I didn't think to come back to CCM with another computer !!!!They would have given you the procedure to follow for a Windows repair.
Have a good evening.

Hello,
Are you using the software "Epson Scan"? If not, what are you using..?
How are you connected to the PC..? What version of Windows is it..? Or Mac or Linux..??

Hello Jeannets, thank you for the quick response,
I am indeed using Epson Scan, wirelessly connected to the PC, and I am on Windows 10.
Until now, everything was working properly!!!

Hello everyone,
If you have Windows 10 or 11, there is an application called "Epson Print and Scan" in the Microsoft Store.
This may not solve the problem but could be a way to work around it in the meantime...

After formatting, I reinstalled using the original CD and everything works.
Thank you all for your advice.
I should have uninstalled and reinstalled the software with the CD first.
