Hello,
My Ford 6000 CD car radio installed in a 2008 Ford Transit displays "PHONE" without being able to remove it, and as a result, I no longer have radio reception. It's not Bluetooth, and the problem started intermittently until I could no longer get any radio at all. One might think it's a loose connection, but how can I find it if that is the case? I've removed the radio from its housing and disconnected the connectors, which I reconnected after using contact cleaner, but the problem persists. Have you encountered this issue, and have you found a solution to fix it? Thank you for your responses.

Hello,

What does it do when you press the "Phone" button?

Hello and thank you for this response.

I had already tried what is indicated on planetepuma, but nothing seems to make it work. However, I sprayed some "contact cleaner" on the "PHONE" switch by just removing the button, and I tapped on the outside of the car radio, and it started working again, but at times "PHONE" reappears. However, by pressing the button, the radio starts working again. The problem is therefore not completely resolved, and I don't see what else I can do.

That's what I think too, but it's not easy to find it; I would have to open the car radio and even then I'm not sure I would find it.

There is a better chance of finding it by opening it.

Hello,

I applied contact spray to the phone switch and it started working, then it stopped for a while, then it worked again. I drove 900 km with the vehicle and it functioned, but I replaced it because we received another one. Regarding the new one that was removed in January, during the winter time, when I connected it, it was showing the correct date and time (summer time), and I don't understand why because with the old one (the identical one), I had to reset the date and time manually as soon as I unplugged it or disconnected the battery. How can this be explained?
