Open an AAE file with Windows

Hello everyone,

I’ve browsed the forum a bit to find a solution to open AAE files on Windows. I read that you needed to transfer your files by email and that the extension would be automatically changed. That's not my case.

Can you please help me?

    Hello,

    There are so-called software programs to do the job (paid, I believe), but in principle, it's impossible: AAE files are not photos but rather types of text files recording the changes that have been made to these photos.

    Therefore, you must transfer the original photos or, if they do not appear, delete the AAE modifications (which may have been made without one's knowledge, for example, a filter on a photo).

    Thank you for your response. In my case, it's just videos.. I'm really frustrated because I deleted the original files without checking :(
