Image not appearing when creating an Outlook signature

Hello,
I recently created an Outlook email signature in Word. However, when I copy and paste the "image + text of my signature" into the signature tab, I can't get the photo to appear; instead, I see a box with a meadow and a blue sky followed by "an image containing text, clock, automatically generated description."
Do you know what steps I should take to resolve this issue? And most importantly, where does it come from?
Thank you in advance for your valuable help,

Hello
There are two ways to create signatures:
1) Use the Outlook tool for signatures and its built-in editor.
2) Generate a signature from another file and "point" to it.
If you do it externally, Outlook ideally reads HTML files. Try saving it as in Word and choose the HTML format. Then, in the Outlook signature manager, create a new signature, and either copy/paste the content of the HTML file into the text or point to this file via the menu.
Hello Madmyke,
Thank you for your detailed response.
I have recreated a signature in Word, which I saved in HTML format, and then in the Outlook signature manager, I copy-pasted the signature, but no photo appears. (attached screenshot)
Regarding the second manipulation, when pointing to the file via the menu, it simply shows the location "C:/Users..."
I also just received an email, and in my correspondent's signature, I see that there is a photo, (yet I can only see a square with a red cross in the top right)... I don't know if there is a link between this and my difficulty inserting an image.
Thanks again for your help,
There might be a link if you can't see the signature photo of a sender.
But unless you're disconnected from the internet, I don't really see the reason.
Especially if you're creating your own, how do you integrate the image into your document at the time of creation? Drag and drop? (copy-paste)
And which version of Outlook do you have? 365? 2016 or others?
Re Madmyke,
I have the 365 version of Outlook,
It’s a silly thing but I just noticed that there is a difference between the Outlook application and the Outlook website.
With the Google Chrome browser, on the Outlook site I can read the banners and images in the signature. And, when I copy-paste the HTML signature with the mouse, I only get the image (even though everything is selected), and with the keyboard, I only get the text.
Yet I am well connected to the Internet ...
And for the file link, is it normal that I receive the path to the location instead of the image of the signature?
I’m sure I must be close to the answer... Thank you for your help.
So yes, Outlook online allows almost the same thing but not everything; that said, in terms of signatures, it remains the same.
I'm not digging further; there must be something causing Outlook on the PC to refuse to display images, that's where it’s happening, but looking through the options, I can't find anything. Yet it's certain that there are possible limitations related to images, it's a setting; I need to find where. Although normally, internally, it shouldn't do that on your own Outlook client.
Thank you MadMyke, you found the solution!
I went to "the privacy management center" and unchecked the box "Do not automatically download images for HTML emails or RSS items."
By default in the mail option, the format was HTML!
My signature works and I can receive photos :)
I hope this helps someone in the same situation as I was. Thank you for your assistance and teaching.
