Hello, my current PC is a pre-built ASUS GL10DH-FR044T with a Ryzen 5 3400G. I recently bought a new processor, the Ryzen 5 5600X, and I want to upgrade the ASUS Prime B450M-K motherboard inside to be able to use my new processor. So, I took my USB drive which I formatted to FAT32, then I downloaded the latest version of the BIOS for the motherboard (version 3802) compatible with the 5000 series Ryzen. I then copied the BIOS file to the USB drive, I enter the BIOS during the restart, then I select the file on my drive in Asus EZ Flash. The message that appears afterward is: "Selected file is not a proper BIOS." I have no solutions.

The current version of my BIOS is version 305, which can be found on the ASUS website in the support category for the GL10DH.

Thank you in advance.

    Hello

This is not the correct BIOS.

It's an assembled ASUS PC, it's not a motherboard identical to the one sold in retail by ASUS.

It's on the ASUS support site, with your PC's reference, that you'll find the list of available BIOS versions.

If version 305 is the latest, you need to ask ASUS about the compatibility of the motherboard with a 5600x.

For your information, the B450 chipset on your board is not native for this type of processor, it's more suited for the B550.
