Unable to update iMovie

Hello,

Today I updated to 'macOS Monterey 12.6' on my MacBook Air (M1 chip).

When I turned it back on, I wanted to open iMovie, but the following message appeared: "To use iMovie, you need to update to the latest version."

After that, when I went to the App Store, I couldn't install the latest update for iMovie because this message appeared: "iMovie cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with another Apple ID," even though I don't have any other account or money.

I can no longer retrieve my projects, continue them, or even open the application.

What should I do? Thank you.

On the App Store, is it by going to your app selection (at the bottom left) that you select the iMovie icon? And is it when you click on the "Update" button that you observe this rejection?

It’s still curious that it’s in your "purchases" but you’re being told it was purchased with another ID...

    Hello,

You can directly contact the Apple purchasing service so they can explain this issue to you and offer a solution.
