Toshiba TV Screen Display Issue

Hello everyone,

As you can see in the pictures below, I'm experiencing a display issue on my TV screen.

Of course, this problem occurs once the warranty has expired; Toshiba sent me a USB stick to reset the TV, but the issue persists.

I thought it might be a backlighting problem, but as you can see in the photos (which were taken 5 seconds apart), the black part (1st photo) becomes visible again (2nd photo).

Do you know what could be causing the problem? Any solutions?

Presented this way, the screen seems dead. What year is your TV?

That's what I did, but since my warranty has expired, they don't want to do anything. Their solution is to offer me their authorized repair service. The closest one is in another department than mine to provide a repair estimate...

Hence my question on a forum before considering another solution.
