Hello,

I have a problem with my printer since I turned it on. The power light is flashing green and the alarm light is flashing orange, both alternately.

Each light flashes 22 times each, after which the power light stays green for about 3 seconds before starting to flash alternately again...

Do you have any ideas about what it could be..?

Thank you in advance!

Hello....

First of all, I suggest you check ► This link

Click on the little blue links ► In case of error use the same link

However, 22 flashes is a lot since Canon only counts up to 16 apparently

Regards and A+

Yes, I also think the maximum is normally 16, but I've counted properly and each light flashes 22 times before starting again. I really don't see what that could be... I hadn't used it for about 5-6 months, I believe, and as soon as I wanted to use it again, it immediately gave me this error message.

Thank you for the feedback ....

Like you, I did not find an error with 22 blinks ► 16 max ► See here

Have you tried removing all the cartridges one by one, then putting them back ....

If this printer hasn't worked for 5 or 6 months or more, it's possible that the ink has dried up and the print head is clogged or something else .....

Do you have any other error messages besides these blinks?

I suggest you try doing what is noted in the link below..and maybe ??

Troubleshooting:

  • Put the printer in maintenance mode:

- Turn off the printer

- Turn on the printer with the "power" button, and when the lights stop blinking, press and hold the "Power" button

- Press the "Resume" button 5 times then release "Power."

Cheers

Thank you for this information, I will try to remove the cartridges…

If that doesn’t work, I will try to perform the operation. Just for your information, what is the "summary" key please?

As mentioned earlier, I don't know this printer, and I think what's called the Summary button should appear after executing the commands stated above.

Cheers!
