Anonymous Facebook Post

Hello,

I can no longer post anonymously in Facebook groups. The anonymous posting icon no longer appears.

Could you help me?

Hello

It doesn't depend on you: it's the administrator who decides (or not) to enable/disable the feature.

The group must have enabled the feature for that. Please also be aware that group administrators, moderators, and the Facebook team can always see your name in your anonymous posts. Additionally, anonymous messages will not appear immediately. You will need to wait for approval from an administrator or a moderator.

Thank you for your reply, but I'm talking about the groups where everyone can post anonymously except me. (Anonymous posting enabled by the group administrator)

Have you tested it on 2 different devices? For example, a phone and a PC?

Same for me, on no group. Other members can and do write anonymously, but I can't????. I don't understand because I could before, but for the past 2-3 weeks I haven't been able to as this option is not visible to me????‍♀️

same here, I had it at first and when I wanted to make an anonymous post, well nothing, and yet several do it... and going through an admin and stuff is annoying because it's not easy to respond

I asked the question through a friend who works at FB.

"It turns out that you're in the backtest for Anonymous Posting that we added in June, so you will not see the Anonymous Post button or the Anonymous Post toggle (even if you saw it before). The plan is to run the backtest for a few more months."

It’s still in testing so they keep some people with the option and others without it to be able to gather stats, etc.

I understand better why, despite all the searches, I can't find this button! They really have the nerve to do this; how much longer is this going to last!

They are bold to do that

Maybe it's because FB is a private (US) company and, therefore, they do exactly what they want when they want.

Some here seem to forget that.

I have never had the option to publish anonymously in a Facebook group while we are soon in 2024 and I see in several groups with people who publish anonymously... it's annoying!

In that case, I don’t know; the only thing, based on what you’re claiming anyway, is that it's happening with your devices or your FB account. But since there is no option for that, aside from a bug in the account itself...

I don't understand the point of commenting anonymously. If someone wants to hide, they might as well not comment! Many insult and harass anonymously because they don't have any balls.
