Hello.
With the TR 7550 printer, I believe we will find the same settings on yours.
To create a shortcut to the scanner on the desktop, I turn on the printer. Then I go to "Control Panel" and then "Devices and Printers" (to be displayed as large icons), from there I click on my printer and find the scanner. Just right-click to create a shortcut on the desktop.
See you later . . .
PS: Hello Pierre . . .
Hello,
Assuming you're using Windows 10 (to be confirmed), you need to click on the Start menu at the bottom left of the taskbar > Windows Accessories > right-click on Fax and Scan > More and Pin to the taskbar.
Best regards,
Hello,
I think you want to have a shortcut on the Desktop to the software that allows you to precisely define the areas to be scanned. Otherwise, there is no point since you must be in front of the printer to set up the document to be scanned and start the operation.
You should know that the software in question is called ScanGear.
Clearly, it cannot be launched directly, so you won't have a shortcut to ScanGear on the desktop.
You can start it in 2 ways.
1) From IJ Scan Utility, which you will find in the Canon Utilities folder in the Start menu. You can create a shortcut to IJ Scan Utility by dragging it from the Start menu to the Desktop.
2) From My Image Garden. You may already have a shortcut on the desktop. If not, create it as before.
When you are in My Image Garden, click on the left on Scan and then on ScanGear.
What is well conceived can be clearly stated,
And the words to say it come easily.
