Hello as well,
Keep politeness in mind (Hello/Thank you), it's also nice to be polite on the CCM Forum...
As for the "ProgramData" directory, it concerns all Adobe programs, not Windows. To avoid this inconvenience, the directory should be hidden by default (Right-click - Properties - Hidden Attribute).
Hello,
It seems to me that you misread my question, or perhaps I formulated it poorly.
No, I understood perfectly and my response is indeed about your problem...
Hello,
The problem lies in "without thinking too much".
I don't see why we should hide any folders in Windows, which doesn’t mean that we can delete something without knowing exactly what we're doing.
Some Adobe files in Program Data and in user folders are common to potentially several Adobe software, but are in no way necessary for Windows to function.
If now, for reasons personal to each person, one has decided to uninstall (properly) all Adobe software from their computer, part of these folders persists, and I don't see why we should not, unfortunately, be forced to delete them manually.
On my PC, the "ProgramData" directory is hidden by default. That's how it is.
Certainly, I was simply saying that I see no more reason for it to be so than to hide system files or extensions, which does not mean that we will click on them indiscriminately; obviously, when folders are hidden, we can't touch them, but the argument is a bit specious.
It is officially a security measure (except of course in the latter case where it's quite the opposite), but by definition it prevents us from tidying up sensibly or detecting (this could also be a security argument) folders or files that shouldn't be there.
