    Hello,

Windows is not a browser, but an operating system.

Replacing is easy to say, changing is more appropriate, because it’s a very different system, or a .exe file doesn’t mean anything...

Unless your PC is compatible with Windows 11

    We can see with WhyNotWin11.exe

    Otherwise maybe Ubuntu ?

You can create a Ventoy USB drive,

If the PC is old, you need to create the USB in MBR mode

If it is newer (Windows 8 or higher) in GPT mode for EFI (Secure Boot Support for Ventoy depending on how the BIOS is configured)

And download the Windows 11 or Ubuntu ISO file onto it (Or both).

Boot from it using the PC’s Boot Menu key

We can search on Google "[Brand Model] Boot Menu Key"

    Install Windows 11 or Ubuntu...

    1. Hello,

I don’t see which exact article you’re referring to.

We can refer to this one for example

This additional extension should not forget that Windows 10 remains a fixed system. The ESU only provides critical and important security fixes – no new features, no performance improvements, no general technical support. For enterprises, however, the program remains paid: $61 per device for the first year, an amount that doubles each year for a maximum of three years.

For users whose PC is compatible, upgrading to Windows 11 remains the recommended solution – it is free and provides support at least until 2028. For machines that are too old, alternatives such as Ubuntu, Linux Mint, or ChromeOS Flex allow giving several more years of useful life to a computer that cannot run Windows 11. October 2027 still leaves time to decide, but unless there is a new surprise, it will be the final grace period.

PS: Windows 10 is an operating system, not a browser.
      1. Hello,

That said, the so‑called “new features” of Windows 11 are not necessarily useful for the average user.

The problem indeed lies on the one hand with security, given a temporary ESU patching, but that is not for tomorrow; gradually, there will be browser incompatibilities, new software, etc.

Security when using third‑party security software (since without ESU Windows Defender will no longer be updated for as long as it lasts) is relative for those who behave safely on computers, leaving certainly theoretical gaps in the operating system itself and, if applicable, in a number of software, but for which there is no reason to think a private individual would be targeted.

Not to forget that Windows protection itself, even up to date, is relative since, aside from unknown vulnerabilities, every monthly update patches several hundreds, most of which are aimed at specific hardware or software contexts, which means that this number is wide open between two updates.
