Wi-Fi connection not secure enough...

Hello,

When I connect to my Freebox Wi-Fi network, I receive a message saying "Weak security."

I hear that I need to secure my access with a WPA2 (AES) or WPA3 password.

After checking the settings on my Freebox, I switched from WEP to WPA. On the Freebox v5, we don't have WPA2 or WPA3!

Should I change my Freebox?

Should I get a Freebox Revolution, Delta, or Pop?

I have two units: ADSL and TV. That's over with the new Freeboxes!!!

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards and have a nice day!

    Hello,

Should I change my Freebox? Should I get a Freebox Revolution, Delta or Pop?

In my opinion, it would be better for you to check with your operator.

    It's done, thank you!

They are offering me to change my Freebox but don't mention the price...

The Freebox Pop and Delta are unavailable due to their success.

I might be offered a Freebox Revolution.

    Hello,

There are 36 good reasons to abandon the Freebox V5 which is completely outdated.

The most obvious reason is that this box does not allow you to connect to fiber.

Then, there’s the ease of use and performance. In no particular order:

    • TV interface
    • WPS
    • Managing the box from the computer
    • Wifi ac

    And I'm certainly forgetting some.

The production of the Freebox Pop and Delta is affected by the shortage of electronic components. And it doesn’t seem like it's going to improve anytime soon.

So, get the Freebox Revolution without delay. It is obviously more expensive than the V5: €44.99 per month, but you won’t regret it when you compare it to the V5.

€44.99 per month instead of the €32.97 I'm currently paying?

That's a big monthly financial strain for me!!!

Does the Freebox v6 Revolution include a built-in DVD player or a Blu-ray player?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Best regards and have a nice day!

The player does indeed have a built-in Blu-ray player.

        Great!

But an extra €12.02 a month, all for phone calls to mobile phones and the ability to switch to fiber optics, I’m going to have to think it over twice!

I call mobile phones with my cell phone and, as for fiber optics, my landlord hasn't done the necessary work...

Only the Blu-Ray player is interesting!

        Have a nice day!

The Blu-Ray player is the only thing that matters!

Everyone sees what interests them! For me, the Blu-Ray player is secondary. I appreciate the built-in hard drive much more.

        Ah, the built-in hard drive!

I have one in the Freebox 5.0 HD, but it's only 40 GB...

I no longer record anything on the internal hard drive since they replaced my old Freebox HD with a new one (same model).

Before, I had perfect recordings and sometimes choppy shows (bad recording).

        Have a great day!

    Hi,

for the fiber, it's not your landlord who decides, he has nothing to say.

    and ... Here you go!
But misery, how annoying the line spacing is!!

      Ah, thank you!

Who decides for the fiber optic then?

      Have a good day.

        You ....

At least for now, in a few years, you won't have a choice, you'll have to go through it, the telephone lines will be dismantled.

The connection will be made along the same path as the telephone line today.

    Hello,

Check if you can get the mini4K, it's cheaper: https://www.free.fr/offre/comparer-nos-offres-freebox/?name=Freebox+mini+4K

Cheaper yes, but €34.99 still (if I remember correctly).

      But it doesn’t have a built-in Blu-ray player...

To each their own criteria ;-) I have never bought either a DVD or a Blu-ray.

        10 € more for the V6, 120 € in a year while you can find a Blu-ray player for 70 €
