Hello,

After spending a lot of time, I haven't found the solution. I know how to do it on Windows 7 and 10, but with Windows 11, I can't find the solution except for activating a sound for the toggle key.

    Hello,

    Go to :
Settings => Time & language => Typing => Advanced keyboard settings => Language bar options => Advanced key settings

What is well conceived is clearly said,
And the words to say it come easily.

So a big thank you to Pierr10, it's great. I navigated for two hours in the settings and I hadn't found it.

TOP Pierr10, it's clear and precise.

It must be said that it's not straightforward!

    Hello,

If I understand correctly, it's not the Shift key (which is not meant to be permanent) that we're hearing being disabled, but the Caps Lock key.

This question has been debated since time immemorial, when there were even activist groups "anti Caps Lock".

In any case, and in this last hypothesis, see here:

If it's the Shift key, you can always remap the keyboard to assign it a different function, but why would you?

Thank you for your feedback. So ultimately, under Windows 11, we no longer have access via the settings to modify more easily through the advanced key settings option as we did under Windows 10.

It seems to me that it does, but this modification, like in Windows 10, will only be temporary.

If the issue is that the keyboard does not have an indicator LED, you can "program" Windows to play a sound or use a utility that displays this indicator, here's an example:

      https://www.digitional.com/how-to-show-on-screen-alerts-for-caps-lock-in-windows-11-10/

Or here, I don't know about the compatibility with Windows 11:

Or do a more general search like "Caps Lock Indicator Windows 11".
