Thunderbird: issue with IMAP folder

Hello,
I have a problem with a folder in Thunderbird. This folder doesn't have the same color as the others; it's gray instead of black, and it's written in italics. So far, nothing too bothersome, but for the past few days, it had disappeared, along with the messages it contained.
After several "clumsy" manipulations, since I don't know much about it, the folder is back visually, but I no longer have any messages inside. However, I can find them in the global search but cannot open them.

I am in a panic because it's a folder with important legal information.

Can someone please help me???

Hello,

- Start by repairing the folder: right-click on the folder / Properties / Repair the folder

- If the messages are still not there and it is empty, you can delete it and recreate it.
- If the messages have a common criterion such as the name of the sender, sort them by clicking on "Sender" (or "Recipient" for outgoing messages) at the top of the column in the list to make them contiguous and display them in the sorted list.

- Click on the first one, and while holding the Shift key, click on the last one so that they are all selected in blue in between.

- Right-click on one of them / move to... the desired folder or subfolder. Alternatively, drag and drop the whole selection to the desired folder.

Same process after a global search on a word or a common phrase in all the searched messages, then "display as a list"

Regarding the color of the folder icon: right-click on the folder / Properties / Icon color and choose the desired color

Concerning "but cannot open them...", try the "Open..." options from the context menu obtained by right-clicking.

As for the italics, I don't know.
