How to remove merge format in Word?

Hello,

I currently have a problem with one of my Word documents: one page (yes, just one) displays the text "mergeformat 2" in place of the page number. This issue occurs when I export my document to PDF or when I enter the footer. I haven't made any section breaks or page breaks, but this message appears. I saw in response to other questions that I should press "Alt+F9," but when I do, it changes the appearance of my page numbers throughout the document but doesn't solve my problem.

Do you have another solution?

    Sorry to bother you, I solved my problem by adding a section break before the problematic page (I don't know why, but it worked; that was all I needed!)
