Edit online on iCloud Drive

Hello,

I would like to know if there is a way to edit and/or highlight/annotate PDFs or Word, Pages, etc. documents by accessing my files on iCloud from the website, just like you can do when synchronizing your computer with Google Drive.

I am not talking about synchronization with the computer where you can modify documents and the changes will automatically save to iCloud. I am referring more to a way to go online on a different computer, log into your iCloud account, and annotate documents directly from there without having to download the documents.

Thank you for your help, and have a great day!

    Hello,

You can log in to your iCloud account online from any computer (you may need to have your trusted device nearby for an access code if two-factor authentication is enabled), and then use the available online tools to make your changes to your documents, which will then be saved with their modifications. The easiest way is to try it out, and you will see.

      Hello,

Thank you for your response, however this is indeed what I am already doing and I cannot find any tools for previewing documents. Would you have a screenshot to see if I have the same display?

    I wasn't precise enough...

You can view all the documents by double-clicking on them, but you can only edit the documents for which an application exists. For example, you can edit a file from Numbers or Pages, but you can only view, and not edit, a PDF file (which is possible locally with Preview)...

Here is an example of a Numbers file opened in iCloud, where you can see that editing tools are available:
