Canon Pixma MG 8150 Ink Absorber Problem

Hello,

I’m joining the ranks of those with a problem with the ink absorber.
I have the error message indicating that the absorber is almost full and the orange warning light is on asking me to press OK, which I have done.
I can print, but the quality isn't great with missing lines and streaks.
I’ve looked a bit at what has been written on the subject and I cleaned the rectangular gray foam pad under the cartridges.
I used several cotton swabs soaked with distilled water. I waited several hours, but it’s still the same.
Should I wait longer?
The color coming from the cotton swabs is black? Could this be due to a defective black cartridge?
Thank you for your help.

The "resume" button is a circle with a triangle inside, point downwards, so unless I'm mistaken, it is marked "stop" on your MG?!

You mention absorber problem but no error message?
IF you only have a print quality issue then the problem lies more in cleaning the print heads
See if this can help you (this is not for a MG8150 but for a MG5500, it should not differ much)

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
    Especially when it's not there...

    Thank you for your response.
I have read the solutions carefully.
For your information, I don't have an error code. Just the orange light that goes off when I confirm the print.
I just have a question about the proposed procedure. It resets the printer in a way, but the tank remains full and doesn't seem to correct my printing issue.
I also saw that one could either disassemble or clean the tank, but that seems complicated to me.

Another question: I can't see the second button "resume" that we need to press at the same time as the "power" button.

    Thank you baladur13
It was indeed the stop button that you indicated to me. I followed the instructions and reset to 0.
I did a quick test: the issue with the full absorber is no longer indicated and the print is good.
I will do another test tomorrow.
So, I'll use the printer sparingly and only turn it on when needed to avoid cleaning the heads.
I really appreciate this MG 8150 printer because it is very user-friendly and I can scan negatives and slides.
Canon no longer manufactures this type of printer.
    Best regards.
