Missing a hard drive driver Windows 10

Question

The problem is that I'm trying to install Windows 10, but I'm being told that I am missing a hard drive driver. Unfortunately, I can't find this driver, and also when I go to the terminal and run Diskpart and then list disk, my PC doesn't detect the hard drive.  I need help, please.

Hi,  You can try this, download the second one (the one in the middle here)  https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19512/intel-rapid-storage-technology-driver-installation-software-with-intel-optane-memory-10th-and-11th-gen-platforms.html  Extract the folder that is in (inside) the .zip archive directly onto a USB stick  During the Windows installation, look for this folder when prompted to load a driver  PS:  If it doesn't work, try the second one here  https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/720755/intel-rapid-storage-technology-driver-installation-software-with-intel-optane-memory-11th-and-12th-gen-platforms.html

What do you want to do exactly? A disk, in principle, does not need specific drivers. It uses the generic drivers of Windows. Hello,  If the hard drive is not recognized by this computer, it would be good to test it with another one if possible. That way you will know if this drive is faulty or protected. Also check the GPT or MBR partitions depending on the type of BIOS...  Recent computer, GPT.

I believe the disk controller is too recent for the version of Windows.  Is it the ISO downloaded recently from the Microsoft site?  If it's Windows 10 v1507, it's somewhat normal that it doesn't contain the drivers.  For Windows 21H2  Windows 10 https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows10/  Windows 11 https://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/software-download/windows11  You should try with Windows 11 for a recent PC instead.

I have an internal SSD, does that change anything about the drivers I should choose?

Apparently, the laptop comes with a 512GB SSD. You don't need a specific driver. Maybe it's your USB key that wasn't created properly. Which utility did you use to make it? Rufus or Windows Media Creation Tool?   -- Misnaming things adds to the misery of the world (Albert Camus)
