Hello, I would like to know what the online update mode in recovery is for.

Hello,
As its name indicates: to download a firmware update in Recovery mode, to be strictly avoided as long as the phone is working.-

It should have nothing to do with the firmware, which is fixed unless it has been tampered with or if there is an unlikely virus present.
It is most often caused by a multitude of applications interfering with each other or being launched in numbers too great for the device's capabilities, or by a storage space that has become too low...
If you can’t resolve it by properly cleaning out what is no longer needed, it’s not a firmware update that is necessary, but a reset (which will erase all data). -

Apart from cleaning or resetting, there is no solution.
No matter how much we want to say that all applications are useful, some may be poorly written or interfere with others, and in any case, having too many open at the same time or low storage space will exacerbate the problem.
More generally, we know nothing about the phone or the mentioned bug; such situations can also occur on older phones, whether they are starting to show signs of fatigue or lack the processing power or graphics performance to run newer, resource-intensive applications properly.
