Hello,
I have acquired a new ADVANCE ORIGIN PC and I can't install my CANNON PIXMA IP2850 printer. I inserted the installation driver. A message says "printer detected....." and, after 3 minutes, "printer not detected.....". This is my 4th attempt following the help, but nothing works.
Can you please help me?

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 99.0

Good evening Jeannets,
I managed to install my printer by going to "Canon My Printer," which I had downloaded with the installation CD.
I clicked on "printer diagnosis and repair," the repair was done, and the printer is recognized by my PC.

There are a lot of new things happening at once...

This printer apparently only connects via USB..?? and USB-3 is possible for faster transmission, but not for printing.

What is your version of Windows, if it is indeed Windows..? Otherwise, please provide your OS.

note that it is not listed as compatible with Windows 11..

Thank you for your reply.
My PC is running Windows 10 Professional and the printer I want to install is not new.
I bought it in December 2017 and I didn't have any problems installing it on my old HP PC running Windows 10 as well. It does indeed connect via USB.
I don't understand what's going on. I hope I haven't bought a "piece of junk" PC!
