Hello,
I recently purchased a Bolyguard BG 668 trail camera that is supposed to send photos directly to the phone via the SIM card, but it is not working. Does anyone have a solution? (The SIM card is from Orange and has an unlimited SMS/MMS plan)
Thank you for your responses.
Best regards,
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 100.0.4896.127

Hello,
Just passing by...
SpoilerOpen the software and your selected camera model:
STEP 1: Select your country and your operator.
STEP 2: Check the WAP/Internet settings:
Fill in the mandatory fields (marked with an asterisk).
Enter the email server such as "smtp.gmail.com" or
"smtp.bolymedia.com."
NOTE: If your email uses encryption techniques, please
select the corresponding protocol. (for example, when using Gmail
select SSL to ensure that the email is sent successfully).
STEP 3: Choose between default or manual settings. For
new users, we suggest using the default settings.
STEP 4: Enter your phone number to receive/send
remote commands and images in the "administrator
number" field, followed by your email address in the
field "Receive email 1" (this is NOT the phone number of
the SIM card inserted in the camera).
STEP 5: Save the .bin file in the GSM folder on the SD card
once all settings are complete. The program names the .bin
folder. The .bin file must be loaded into the specific camera
GSM folder.
If your country or SIM card provider is not on the list, select
"Other." You will need to ask the SIM card provider
for their specific MMS URL, MMS APN, Port, MMS IP, Account,
Password, GPRS APN, GPRS account and GPRS password.
For sending emails, your email service provider will
provide the sending mail server and port settings.
Note: Once the SD card is inserted into the camera and the
camera is turned on, this file will be automatically uploaded to
the camera and deleted from the SD card.
3.4 Cloud Service - Molnus
Molnus is a cloud service that allows you, as a user of a
compatible camera, to transfer and store the images taken
through the cameras and make them accessible on compatible
devices and computers.
To get started, you need to provide the camera with batteries
and a SIM card that has internet access.
You also need the phone number and the APN name
for the SIM card you will use for the camera.
The APN name is provided by the SIM card operator.
Each operator has its own APN name. If not present
in any documents sent with the SIM card,
please check the operator's homepage for APN
settings.
IMEI, the control code can be found on your camera, needs a
SIM card that has internet access, then start the camera in
SETUP mode, and when it displays the operator's name on
the camera screen, it's time to check the version.
Step 1 Register your Molnus account. (In Molnus)
Step 2 Log in to your Molnus account and go to My
Camera Page. (At Molnus)
Step 3 Slide the function switch to the SETUP position on your
camera and make sure that the sending mode is "Molnus." (Turned on
camera
Step 4 Press the Save camera button to register
your camera. (At Molnus)
Step 5 Slide the function switch to the ON position on your
camera, and quickly place the device with the camera facing
a motionless area, such as against a wall. (On
camera)
Step 6 Press the Save button in Molnus and wait
for about 5 minutes. (In Molnus)
The recording should now be done, and the camera should
now be able to upload images to Molnus.
Test the function by taking a few moments in front of
the camera. In a short time, the images will appear in
Gallery at Molnus.
If you want to use Molnus on your smartphone, please
download the Molnus app from Google Play or Apple
App Store.
For more details, please check the Molnus website:

3.5 Mobile Applications
When the camera is turned ON, you can
modify some basic settings of the camera via the
mobile application. Currently, there are applications supported by
Android and Apple devices. Charges or fees may apply
when sending text messages to the camera depending on
your mobile service provider.
For Android, you can search for BGTools from the
Google store, or directly download the app
from our website in the Downloads section:
http://www.bolymedia.com/index/Support
For Apple, search for BGTools in the official Apple
app store.

Translation of the text from the manual by copy/pasting with Google Translate (about 45 minutes to make this topic...).
Thanks to extempor by the way for the manual.

Hello,
from what I understood from the notice (it's in English on page 16), you need to install the BGTools application on your phone.

It's useless to think, you need to think before.
(Pierre Dac)-
I had already tried it, it serves to configure the camera on the phone to make it easier but it didn’t solve anything, I think it must be in the settings, by putting the SIM card in a phone I was able to send messages so it works.
- Have you selected the WAP (country and operator)?:

I took a basic plan with unlimited SMS/MMS and 5GB
I also double-checked all the settings thanks to MPMP10's translation (thank you for the time you dedicated to it) but nothing works, I think I'll send it back and look for another simpler camera. Thank you for your promptness and your advice anyway.
Have a good day

It is stated on page 14 that the photos are sent to the Molnus Cloud Service.
