Hello,

We are looking to watch TV channels: TNT directly without going through a TV decoder/Operator TV package.

After selecting the TV option instead of HDMI and performing a channel scan, some channels are found but with no picture and scrambled sound. We can only see the channel number and the title of the movie or show currently playing on the channel along with the information "UNSUPPORTED VIDEO FORMAT."

At the back of the TV, there is only the antenna cable and the power connection.

We have gone through all the remote control options with no success! Can anybody help us troubleshoot the problem (we’ve already contacted Philips support, and we're going around in circles for now).

We saw a similar question on this site in 2012 but no answer :)

Thank you in advance,

Karine and Fabrice

Hello Karine and Fabrice

Since April 5, 2016, in France, TNT channels are broadcast in a format NOT compatible with the PHILIPS 32PFL3403D.
You will need to buy an HD TNT adapter, available everywhere from €20
Connections:
-Antenna to the adapter
-Adapter to the TV with an HDMI cable
-Turn on the adapter
-Connect the TV to the corresponding HDMI input ->'the adapter's home screen appears
-Follow the on-screen instructions with the adapter's remote control to scan for channels
