3 long beeps 2 short beeps

Hello, I recently bought new RAM sticks, and when I plug them in, I hear 3 long beeps and 2 short beeps, but when I use only one stick, it works without any problem. I must admit I don't understand, my motherboard is supposed to support 32GB of RAM without any issue.

Configuration: Windows / Edge 100.0.1185.36

Hello,
what motherboard, CPU, and RAM reference(s) please?

Did you buy sticks to replace the old ones or are you adding the new ones to the old ones?

For the CPU, Intel Core i7 11700K 3.3GHz
The motherboard is a Stark TG01 and the RAM sticks are 2x 16GB in DDR4 2400MHz

I bought 2 RAM sticks because I initially had a single 16GB

When I plug in one of the new ones, it works, but when I plug in 2, it doesn't work anymore.

Hi Bgiebgielel

PC unplugged, did you perform a ClearCMOS with the 3 sticks connected???

See you

How can I do this, and I only have 2 slot locations for the sticks?

so, it's >>> this motherboard <<<
with the two installed RAM sticks
if you don't have a jumper for ClearCMOS, remove the battery for 5 seconds and press the power button
you reassemble, plug in the power supply and turn it back on, then restart

not clean at all

It's to recalibrate the RTC controller for the bars.

Does a single stick work alone in both slots?

On the first yes, on the second no!

well, it's that the second one is faulty, it can mainly be caused by the motherboard or the CPU (motherboard + likely). not easy then, and to know you have to change one or the other.

since your computer is very recent, try checking with the warranty from the store where you bought the computer. finding a motherboard is going to be very difficult and very expensive.

When I went to Matériel Point Net, they explained to me that on some motherboard models, it's normal not to be able to plug a single stick into the second slot.

Did you tell them that if you connect the two it doesn't work?

I don't see why the second slot wouldn't work whether the stick is alone or not.

If it's the manufacturer selling cards with only one working slot, that's disgusting...

The two sticks that you're putting together, did you buy them in a kit of two?
