Hello, I recently purchased a used Renault Twingo 2 and I inserted my USB drive into the car. But when I try to play it, the music doesn't start... However, I have selected the USB source in the car. So what should I do to be able to play my music?

Thanks in advance for your replies ????

Hello,

There are more types of USB drives, there are USB 2.0 and 3.0. If your drive is 3.0 but your car's port is 2.0, it may not be recognized (you should check the type of USB port in your car).

The second thing that comes to my mind is how your drive has been formatted.

When a USB drive is ready for use, it has a certain format, for example NTFS, but it can be formatted to FAT 32 (32 bits) or X64 (64 bits).

If your car cannot read your drive, it is probably due to one of the explanations above.

However, I found the user manual for your car Twingo II User Manual

Hello,

Aside from these pertinent remarks, it may also be the case that a usable key for the car (and indeed most often FAT32) is limited to a certain size, or that the music files are in a format or codecs that the car's multimedia tablet is not able to read.

Or even more simply, as on some models, there may only be a "service" USB port (for map updates, maintenance, etc.) and that the tablet or the port do not have any multimedia functions.

Furthermore, some "smart" vehicles also prohibit the playback of any video content unless the handbrake is engaged for safety reasons.
