Hello,
I am getting married next October and my friend (who will be the DJ) is asking me to rent the necessary equipment for the dancing part. After several searches, I am a bit lost.
Should I go for an all-inclusive option like this: https://audio-loc.fr/location-sono-toulon or something less expensive like this: https://www.leboncoin.fr/image_son/1906452388.htm
Is that enough?
In any case, I have also seen that it is possible to rent equipment individually, but without knowledge, it doesn't seem so straightforward. Any ideas or suggestions?
For your information, the dance floor will be indoors and we will have about 70 people (adults)
Thank you very much in advance for your recommendations.

Hi Guillaume, on your link number 1 it is not mentioned that there are CD players or MP3 controllers, and the mixing table seems to be for plugging in musical instruments. As for the second link, amplified speakers are not enough; you might as well buy an all-in-one pack for about the same price that could be reused. Show this link to your DJ friend to see if it suits him. In addition to this pack, you need a computer and MP3 control software. There is the seller's phone number for you to get more information https://www.cdiscount.com/high-tech/sono-dj/pack-sono-500w-usb-bluetooth-table-de-mixage-a/f-1063919-par0652733643506.html?idOffre=1697871205&cid=search_pla&cm_mmc=PLA%21COR%21%21MP%2114998030949%21m109739209_pPAR0652733643506-1697871205_l9056583_tpla-438932949502_&gclid=CjwKCAjwuYWSBhByEiwAKd_n_kxy7b-V8WBIiLPZaX7vZ-xOGsIOuOymgknUInhnfnC5Je2Q9rg7mxoCWvIQAvD_BwE

Sure, thanks a lot for the information! I'll take a closer look at that.

Hello.
<<< . . . we will be around 70 people (adults) >>>
The power of a sound system depends on the size of the room to be amplified. If the room is large and the sound system is low-powered, you risk having to turn up the amplifiers high, and as you increase power, the amplifiers will heat up, possibly leading to thermal shutdown. No sound = broken atmosphere.
Walls, windows, and people themselves "consume" sound. You need a sound system capable of working comfortably at half power for 6 continuous hours. Moreover, knowing the efficiency (W/m) of the speakers is important.
This will depend on whether you rent an Ibiza sound system or an RCF sound system. There is no comparison between the two.
If you have the approximate dimensions of the room (L x W x H) in mind, that can help determine what power of amplification will be needed.
See you soon...

Thank you, it's very clear as an explanation. The room is about 200 m², the height... no idea.

And don't forget to place the speakers on stands, definitely not on the floor.

Hello.
Assuming the height is about 4 meters, you need a sound system of 2 x 300 w RMS. Powered speakers are preferred with an efficiency of 100 dB / w / m
There are rental companies that provide all the sound equipment + music source devices + lighting and effects for a reasonable price. All of it for about €110 excluding setup. Check with your friends for someone who knows sound setups and everything else. Sure, it’s not too complicated, but you have to be familiar with it; otherwise, you can struggle pretty quickly. For example, a company ==>

It seems there is a sound equipment store near you: La Garde (83). After that, it all depends on where the dance party will take place. It's better to rent as close to the venue as possible.
