Problem connecting a TV headset without disabling the TV speakers? Solved

Hello,  Hardware configuration: My grandparents bought a TV (Samsung UE32H5000), they receive TV through an antenna cable. They have wireless headphones (Siemens set 842). They have a DVD player connected via HDMI1 (I should note that they had no issues with their previous TV...)  The problem: Their headphones are connected to the SCART socket with a jack adapter, when they watch TV everything is fine, they can listen to the TV and their headphones work without problems (each can produce independent sound). When they watch a DVD (HDMI 1), the sound from their headphones doesn't "follow" and instead plays the sound from a TV channel. I can connect their headphones to the headphone output (in this case, the sound "follows" the DVD without issue) but then it's impossible to have audio output from the TV. I tried an RCA to jack adapter but no sound comes from the headphones in DVD mode. Samsung technical support told me to buy an optical to jack adapter, but I have serious doubts about this solution after reading customer feedback on this product. Hello, Probably (very much) the SCART adapter is connected to the audio outputs on the TV side (which makes perfect sense). These outputs normally correspond to the TV sound. http://bpcv.free.fr/p21.htm It would simply be a matter of modifying the adapter by adding a small switch to toggle between the audio outputs (TV sound) and the audio inputs (external video player). Perhaps the old TV performed this switching internally. -- I don't know more than you, but I'm looking.

Hello But this headset is special and for the hearing impaired! The SET 842 TV is a wireless FM stethoscopic receiver system. https://www.lunel-sante-surdite.com/set-842-siemens-siemens,fr,4,set842TV.cfm The problem is probably the HDMI DVD which is not the FM system.  Who loves instruction! finds knowledge that comes from reflection! PS. Often create a restore point! it solves quite a few problems.

I don't believe the issue comes from the headphones, as they worked very well in their previous setup.  The problem lies with the TV (the only element that has changed compared to their previous setup); I am almost certain that if I were to connect a regular wired headset to the TV's scart output, the problem would persist.  The real question is why the TV prioritizes itself over an external source when it is functioning? And how can we solve this problem?

Thank you for your responses! Well, I don't know how to edit my message, but I forgot to mention an important element.  "When they watch a DVD (HDMI 1) the sound from their headsets is not synced and instead plays the sound of a TV channel. -> The sound produced by the TV when watching a DVD is in line with the content. So there are two different sounds being produced."  old-pain -> Can you give me a link to a switch so I can understand how it works? Are there automatic ones? Thank you.

It worked with regular TV usage, BUT I didn't have sound in smart TV mode (internet, music apps, ...): apparently the sound is not directed to the SCART output. With this box + a Toslink HQ optical cable, I get sound on my HI-FI system regardless of the TV usage mode :)"  everything is now working perfectly. Conclusion: apparently on newer TVs, the sound is not always redirected to the SCART outputs...
