Hello,
I would like to know how to change the OS on my Chromebook. I would like to switch to Windows 10 or 11.
I have already tried to access the BIOS but I can't.
Can we boot the Chromebook from a bootable USB drive?
PS: I have an HP x360 14c Chromebook.
Thank you for your response.
Configuration: Chrome OS / Chrome 98.0.4758.91

Hello,
In theory, it's doable since your Chromebook is powerful enough, but if you manage it, you'll run into a ton of problems, some of which may be unsolvable: what about the drivers, the keyboard that is very specific to the Chromebook? You only have a 128 GB disk, and for Windows 10, which requires a lot of space, that's not much!
You will need to replace the BIOS because the Chromebook has a BIOS specific to Chrome OS. And just that is not easy to achieve since the BIOS is often protected by a mechanical lock (a screw). You have to find out how to do it on your model and the correct version of the BIOS, and just that is not a guaranteed win: if you mess up, it's good for the trash.
Now, since your Chromebook is moderately powered (core i3) with 8 GB of RAM, you can try enabling Linux to install VirtualBox for a Windows 10 installation in a virtual machine, but I can't guarantee that the result will be smooth: Windows will run in a Linux virtual machine that will itself run on Chrome OS!!!! Three OS will be running simultaneously, that's quite a feat! You risk nothing by trying; if you're not satisfied, just remove VirtualBox and go back to square one.
Question: why did you buy a Chromebook if you want to use Windows?

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
In the end, I will stick with Chrome OS.
Initially, I bought a Chromebook to be able to play some games. But unfortunately, the games I want are not available in the Play Store.
Since Windows 10 takes up a lot of space, I will stay with Chrome OS.
Question: how do I install an APK from an unknown source on Chrome OS?
I’ve tried everything but nothing works.
I’ve enabled developer mode in the Linux environment, ADB debugging, but nothing works, and also in the Android preferences.
Have a good day.

What Android version should I install on a Samsung Galaxy Tab E?
I'm thinking about Bliss OS or BlissRooms.
But I don't know which one to choose.

Have you tried this: https://mychromebook.fr/installer-des-applications-android-non-disponibles-sur-le-play-store-sur-chromebook/?
I don't know about the Samsung.
I don't know about the Samsung.
Android x86 is an Android version for PCs with an x86 processor (AMD, Intel)
A Samsung tablet has an ARM processor, you cannot install Android x86 on it.
BlissOs is for PCs like Android x86, BlissRoms for tablets.
But good luck installing it.
Normally your tablet had a version of Android in memory, can't you restore it?

Hello,
Thank you for your response.
Is the Android version in memory higher than the one already installed?
Thank you for your answer.

It's not a big deal.
I think the version is an old one or the one I have.
I think I'm going to install blissrooms or another Android-based OS.
Thank you for your response.

Hello,
I don't know anything about Chromebooks, but I found this which seems reliable, although relatively uncertain as a source:
to install Windows in a virtual machine (but I find it has quite few details): https://www.moyens.net/comment/comment-installer-windows-10-sur-un-chromebook/
to install Windows 8 simply (but it should be the same for 10):

to replace Chrome with Windows (a lot of tinkering and an uncertain result): https://www.phhsnews.com/how-to-install-windows-on-chromebook3041
