Problem with the SPH-DA160DAB car radio

Hello,
the issue I'm facing is that I bought and installed a new car radio in my 2008 C-Max, which is the Pioneer SPH-DA160DAB.
The radio works very well, but the only problem I'm encountering, and maybe you can help me, is that when I turn the ignition key to preheat the car, the radio turns on, and sometimes as soon as I turn the key to start the car, the radio turns on immediately, or after 1 to 2 minutes, or not at all... So often I have to stop and turn off the car to restart it so that the radio turns on, and sometimes it doesn't work either... Do you have a solution to my problem, aside from making a direct connection for fear of discharging the vehicle's battery?
Thanks in advance for your help/solution.

My problem is almost solved, my brother and I found an alternative... we just disconnected the negative terminal of the battery and the radio reset itself, and since then it works perfectly. Alternatively, you need to buy a cable from Norauto that they order directly from Pioneer (110€), which bypasses the ignition key start... One more thing to do is to connect the radio directly. I have a friend who had the same issue as us and that works perfectly as well...
I hope this helps.

Hello, putting a switch between the accessory power and the head unit will cost much less

The accessory power is the yellow wire of the car (check with a multimeter) -> switch -> yellow wire of the head unit, start the head unit using the switch after starting the car

Is the problem solved on your end?

Hello

A permanent power source is missing in the installation done, different from the + contact.

At a time when all car radios had 2 wires, the problem only arose for car radios mounted in removable drawers, and we would place a battery and a diode to keep the settings of the unit.

Hello, I have the same car radio and the same issue... By the way, since yesterday it has been rebooting in a loop and I can't get it to work anymore. Previously, when I turned the key, it would start initializing right away, and so when starting the car 2 seconds later, it would reboot during its loading and it seems to crash. I don't know what to do because I haven't found a reset procedure.

After reading several documents, regarding the Pioneer SPH-DA160DAB, there is a RESET button in the upper left corner on the front panel; you need to turn off the power, press it and release it, then turn the power back on. My car radio, which was boot looping, is now working perfectly again. To delay the startup of the car radio, there are also 12V relay delay circuits available to postpone the startup by a few seconds to a few minutes. I haven't tried this; there are various prices on AliExpress, but also brands like Velleman and the model VM188.

Hello, I have the same problem, and sometimes the screen turns completely white with lines, or it freezes. I'm thinking of buying another model, but from a different brand.
