Mail archiving for Laposte.net before shutdown

Hello,

I want to permanently close my Laposte.net email account, which I haven't used in a long time, but I would like to keep some old emails without having to transfer them one by one.
I can't seem to find how to "archive" them (export to PST, for example).
It's not very surprising, given that this email service is so bad it's hard to describe, but maybe it's just me who is occasionally at fault, who knows...

Do you have the solution, please?
Thank you for your help

Patrick

Hello

The worst thing about laposte.net is the webmail.

If you manage this account with an email client like Thunderbird, it becomes much more acceptable. The main criticism is a certain slowness.

I recommend installing Thunderbird (free).

Once it is installed, add your laposte.net account.
(Use the IMAP protocol for incoming mail).

When everything is finished, you will see all your laposte messages.

Select all of them and right-click; then choose Save as...

Choose a destination folder (create it beforehand, it will be easier).

You will find all messages in this folder saved in .eml format.
Messages can be opened by Thunderbird or any other email client (Windows Mail, for example).

You can obviously do the same with the messages you have sent.

When it is done, you can close your laposte.net account.

What is well conceived is clearly stated,
And the words to express it come easily.
