Hello,
I just moved into a new apartment and there are four RJ45 wall sockets. However, when I connect my box to them, it doesn't work on my PC. I understand that if you have fiber optic, you need a PTO box with an ONT, and I only have a DTI box. My question is who should I call to have a PTO and ONT installed in the cabinet where the DTI box is located? I've also understood that when fiber is installed by an operator, they use a PTO box but it's installed in the living room, and as a result, I can't get internet on my RJ45 wall sockets. What should I do to get internet on all my wall sockets, and who can do it? I called SFR and they told me that I would have to pay 150 euros just to move the box, but that it wouldn't necessarily solve my problem and that their technicians are not able to do more than just move the box. Thank you in advance for your answers.

So your second image is the PTO box. Is it indeed in the living room with the box? And is the box directly connected to it or is there a box/device between the two?

Regarding your central box, the two DTI (strange that there are two) are no longer useful. Nor is the bunch of small gray cables that need to be removed from the sockets and not reused.

If you only have one device to connect to a wall socket, you could connect an Ethernet output from the box to the wall socket in the living room using an Ethernet cord. In your central box, the four wall sockets correspond to the four patch sockets (above the DTI). Are they labeled? If not, you will need to test them all. With an Ethernet cord, you will create a bridge between the socket in the living room and the socket in the room you want to connect.

This is assuming the wiring in the apartment is done properly for Ethernet. Because we often see installations where only 2 wires out of the 8 in the cables are connected to the sockets. This is sufficient for telephony/ADSL, but not for Ethernet.

If you want to power the three wall sockets in the apartment, you would need to add a switch in the central box to take the incoming network from the living room socket and redistribute it to the other three sockets.
