Fiber optic, DTI and Ethernet network

Hello,

I just installed fiber optic in my apartment. I have a DTI box and RJ45 sockets in every room. I would like to use this Ethernet network to get internet to my office via Ethernet. For now, my box is connected via fiber to the Free network, and I plugged an Ethernet cable into the test DTI socket, but it doesn't work. Do you know how to make it work?

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hello,

The DTI is the testing box for the arrival of a telephone/ADSL line; it cannot be used to distribute Ethernet.

Perhaps your wired installation can be used. But it would require that the RJ45 sockets in the rooms have a cable with 4 pairs of wires arriving, and that these 8 wires are connected to the RJ45 socket, and that at your central box there are RJ45 outputs.

A photo of your central box, where the DTI is located, could help us see what your installation looks like.
