I have an Epson XP245 printer: a message appears: ink pad nearing the end of its life: please contact Epson

There are 2 solutions
1 ► Find an authorized Epson agent in your area who apparently does this for free + transport fees? (subject to confirmation as I've never tried) ► See this link
2 ► Use WIC Reset
✅ Reset the used ink counter of this printer using the WIC Reset Utility available ► Here in its free version which only allows in principle one attempt, and the used ink counter is only partially reset but the printer will work again if there are no other associated problems...?
✅ For your information, the paid version costs less than €10 ► Here
✅ Your printer is generally compatible with this utility ► See the list
For your information, ideally the ink pad should be replaced after resetting the ink counter, but this is not at all easy to do as access to it is required.... but your printer should start working normally... but for how long???
✅ If not okay, you need to find an authorized Epson center in your area and ask if the service is still free, if not ► how much does it cost ... compared to the price of a new printer
