Hello,

I'm reaching out because my PC has been slowing down quite a bit lately.

I would like to know if someone can help me check whether or not there's a hidden virus behind all of this. I don't think so, but it would help clear my doubts.

While I'm at it, I wanted to ask if you're familiar with the nch suite? When I tried to open a jpeg, I got a pop-up from them, and I can't find a way to uninstall this app; it doesn't appear in the uninstall apps menu.

Thank you.

OK, to automatically delete all files/folders created by FRST and the tool itself, rename FRST/FRST64.exe to uninstall.exe and run it.

The procedure requires a restart

If it's on Firefox, right now there are server issues:

Hello,

We will start with a PC diagnosis:

Please read the entire procedure before posting reports
Do not post them directly in the messages as they are unreadable and incomplete

The expected reports are FRST.txt and Addition.txt

All reports must be hosted on https://security-x.fr/up/ and you must provide the obtained links in your response

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--> The SmartScreen filter may trigger an alert. Click on Actions or More information and then click Run anyway

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--> Download the FRST version of Farbar, compatible with your system and save the file to your Desktop

--> For a 32-bit system
--> For a 64-bit system

How to find out which version 32-bit or 64-bit is running on my system?

--> Wait for your browser to offer the download to save, without clicking anywhere, especially not on the sponsors of the page.
--> Close all applications, including your browser
--> Double-click on FRST.exe and click Yes to accept the Disclaimer
--> Under Vista, Windows 7 / 8 and 10, you need to run the file by right-clicking -> Run as administrator
--> Wait until it indicates The tool is ready to run
--> On the main menu, click on Scan and wait during the scan
--> At the end of the scan, the FRST.txt and Addition.txt reports are created. Post these reports in your next response.
--> The reports are saved in the same location as the tool and under C:\FRST\Logs

Otherwise, I think I've figured out how to remove the nch suite; I uninstalled WavePad, so that should be fine for that now.

Nothing special on your PC.

For NCH, there is indeed a program:
Music Suite (HKLM-x32\...\Suite) (Version: 1.00 - NCH Software)

To uninstall it, do the following:

=> Press Windows + R
=> Type appwiz.cpl and confirm by clicking OK
=> You should find it in the list

For the slowdowns:

Test your hard drives and give the result (color and status) or post a screenshot: https://forums.cnetfrance.fr/tutoriels-logiciels-et-applis/487485-tester-son-disque-dur-ou-ssd-avec-crystaldiskinfo

My two hard drives are blue and in good condition according to CrystalDiskInfo

The slowdowns may be related to the number of Firefox tabs I have open, so I will close as many as possible and see if it improves

In any case, I no longer have any doubts about the presence of a virus now, thanks again to you!
