Hello everyone,

I’m asking for help because I would like to see two videos on one screen (split screen) but with a particularity, that is to see these videos in full screen.

For example, watching two YouTube videos in split screen but having them in full screen of the split screen.

It's not easy to be clear, but I hope to find a solution ;-)

Thanks in advance for your help.

PS: with Windows 11, you can easily have multiple desktops and maybe I can find the solution by splitting two desktops on one screen?

    Hello

    It's doable with VLC.

Media / Open Network Stream and you paste the URL of your YouTube video. And you open another VLC to do the same with the second one.

And it seems to me there is a minimalist mode.

      Hello Pierre Castor,

I will try this technique later.

I'll let you know how it goes.

No, it didn't work "Your input media cannot be opened" VLC message.

Strange. Can you put the link to the video you tested?

It's good, I just made some adjustments to be able to watch the video via a YouTube link or another, but the video lags quite a bit.

But the concept is awesome, it's what I'm looking for.

I will keep searching to find out why the videos lag...

I also thought of the solution of putting two desktops side by side (with Windows 11 you can easily switch between desktops but you can't split the screen, which would have solved my problem) :/

    Hello,

Nothing easier, you open a window with YouTube, once it's open you press Windows key and right arrow, then you open a second window and press Windows key and left arrow.

      Hello Lulu69,

Yes, thank you, I am familiar with the split screen technique, that’s nice of you.

What’s important to me, precisely, is that the image from both videos takes up the entirety of both split screens and not to have the distracting view of what’s around (like a full-screen video).

I don't think you can do it... but if you can, I don't know how to do it.

        Good luck.

    Hello.

To make sure we're talking about the same thing, can you precisely describe how a video can display in full screen when you don't have a full screen, since you've split it?

There's something that completely escapes my understanding!

      Hello Raymond,

Sorry for my explanation but basically it would look like the image in the bottom right.

To be able to watch a video that takes up the entire width of the split screen.

      Hello,

I'm following up on the topic; can someone tell me if we can split the screen in two as if we have two monitors?

      Thank you in advance

I just ran a test with the YouTube Enhancer extension that allows separating the video into another frame, but a problem arises.

How can I place 2 videos in 16/9 side by side on a screen of the same format?
